I did not change the clear diaphragm and will try swapping with my 250 to see if that changes anything. The listing for is ONE DEMAND LEVER. So maybe its the way diaphragm collapses under pressure. If the problem persists across poppets, chambers, levers and springs, then I m thinking its either diaphragm or lever hole in air tube.
Having Problems with your Adjustable SCUBAPRO Regulators. That is usually called the barrel. The popping reminds me of pushing on the lid a cookie can or tin, where it starts to deflect quietly and evenly with pressure, then pops into different position at some point. Then read the following: I have a 109 that has popping sensation when valve opens: its like step change in air delivery poppet reaches certain point.
Any thoughts or similar experiences?, SOLUTION: The problem is a small ridge indent in the surface against which lever feet work, inside what you call air tube. One of my oldest 109 also developed that problem. The new lever 11.250.141 with curvy feet does not cause the indent/ridge to develop, as during its action it rolls over brass surface, instead of just rotating on sharp edge old was doing. Or, maybe an edge of the lever is getting hung up on a burr in air tube.
It is caused by many years of work the old lever with feet having a sharp edge. The Demand lever is brand new and It priced to sell.
